Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two men have been charged in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.
A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
