Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts
The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however can the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's latest album, the new release, is out on Friday.
Football and Family Experiences
Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several charity football games over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend football side," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' only on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four matches.
A family member advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.
But I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
