Heavy Downpours Aggravate Conditions for Uprooted Gazans, Officials Alert
Intense storms over the last seven days have worsened the extremely difficult situation of the hundreds of thousands of uprooted civilians in the territory, as stated by humanitarian organizations.
"Awful" Night Brings Severe Threats
A official characterized the recent storm as "awful", with downpours so heavy that as much as 15cm (6in) of water was seen on the terrain.
"The recent weather was exceptionally horrendous for the people. The downpours were so strong... And the gales were so strong," stated the spokesperson.
Authorities voice extreme anxiety that young ones residing in tents in wet clothing will contract hypothermia and other ailments.
Deaths and Extensive Loss
The health ministry have reported that one baby has succumbed from hypothermia and a minimum of 11 other people have been killed in building collapses triggered by the harsh conditions.
Further statements suggest a higher fatality count. Officials said that multiple residential buildings had collapsed completely and many others had collapsed partially.

Aid Efforts Considered Inadequate
Organizations have escalated shipments of shelter, warm covers and clothing after the truce began, but they have said there is continues to be not enough aid reaching those in need.
"Officials are working relentlessly to bring in that assistance and to distribute it, but the scale of the needs is so enormous that we continue to see thousands of people and minors who are genuinely enduring hardship every night," warned one official.

The next stage of the ceasefire involves proposals for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with post-war governance, the removal of troops, and other conditions.
Relief organizations have underscored the need for "expanded and ongoing humanitarian assistance to respond to immediate and ongoing needs."
