David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
