Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a senior official has encountered technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to return to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
